Day 2 Craters of the Moon

Craters reminded us a lot of the Lava Beds. The boys and Patrick did a jr Ranger hike in the evening and the Broken Cone Loop this morning. Plus we saw a great slide show on tracking and Bella didn't get loose once!

Father's Day 2014

Goodbye to KCC

It was with mixed emotions that I attended graduation last Friday.  I'm really excited to go back to NVC, but I had some great students and three incredible colleagues!  I learned a lot from each of them - about being a good teacher, and about being a good person.  For that I am eternally grateful!

May and June 2014

I'm always promising my self I'll take time to write on this blog in stead of post pictures, but alas, I once again find myself pressed for time and just wanting to get them up!  We leave for a 3+ week camping / road trip tomorrow.  We're going to visit family and see lots of national parks!

These first few pictures are from the day we spend up by Chiloquin.  We went to the living history days in Fort Klamath (no good pictures, but really interesting history - plus the boys actually got to fire off a real cannon) and at the model train park.

This is Hadrain, being a monkey in the bath!

And this is Hadrian being a monkey at Medicine Lake.  Dad did his open water dives there for the college class he taught Spring term, we tagged along for the fun part!

Dad and Trajan have done so much good snuggling this year - I'm not sure how Trajan will adjust when we mover.

Percy and Hadrina both did T-ball this year.  Patrick helped coach and dad even served as catcher a few games (despite the toll it took on his shoulder).

I went to a great math conference in Medford after school got out and got to walk with G-ma and Aunt Joyce.  It was nice to get some one-on-one time with G-ma.  We figured that we haven't gone out to dinner, just the two of us - in over ten years!

Aren't they cute
